What they needed.
Queen Eyebrows Threading & Salon has spent six years on N Lamar Blvd building something most businesses never get: a 4.8-star rating from 282 real Google reviews. What they did not have was a website. Every customer searching for "eyebrow threading in Austin" found a competitor instead, and the only way to book was to already know the number. Their reputation was real — it just had nowhere to live online. The brief we set ourselves: turn six years of hard-earned trust into a storefront that takes someone from searching to booking in a single tap.
How we designed & built it.
- 1 Led with the salon's real credibility — six years on N Lamar Blvd, 4.8 stars from 282 Google reviews, threading from $8 — and built the entire design around that proof.
- 2 Chose an editorial art direction: a high-contrast serif, a blush-and-crimson palette, and warm in-salon photography — premium feeling, without looking expensive or clinical.
- 3 Structured the site as four focused pages — Home, Services, About and Contact — each with exactly one job to do.
- 4 Put transparent starting prices directly on the page instead of "call for a quote", turning the salon's biggest differentiator into something a visitor can actually see.
- 5 Made "Call to Book" a one-tap action in the header and on every page, because this salon takes its bookings by phone.
- 6 Built it mobile-first and verified the layout holds with no horizontal scroll at 375px — where nearly every beauty search actually happens.
- 7 Deployed it to a live URL so the owners could open it on their own phone and see the finished thing working before making any decision.
